ByAdushka was founded by Karin Kämpf, who had over two decades of experience in the fashion industry before starting her own company in 2020. This decision was influenced by a devastating fire in a textile factory in Bangladesh, which led Karin to focus on sustainable fashion and conscious consumption without compromising style, uniqueness, and quality. ByAdushka began as an online shop and later expanded to stores in Zurich, Basel, Baden, and Bern.

Centred around female empowerment and sustainability, each piece at ByAdushka has its own story. Karin maintains regular contact with the designers and carefully selects products that align with ByAdushka’s values. The brand emphasises traditional craftsmanship, non-toxic fibres, natural dyes, recycled vintage fabrics, and fair wages throughout its production chain, significantly enhancing the independence and impact of women in the fashion industry.
